How to Request Data Deletion
To request the deletion of your data from Arthik.money, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to privacy@arthik.money with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Phone number associated with your account
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- Our privacy team will process your request within 7 business days
- You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- Your account information (name, email, phone number)
- All transaction data and financial records
- Categories and budget settings
- App preferences and settings
- Any shared expense groups and associated data
Data Retention Period
After receiving your deletion request:
- Your data will be marked for deletion immediately
- All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days for technical reasons
- Anonymized statistical data may be retained for analytical purposes
Legal Requirements
In some cases, we may be required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory compliance. In such cases:
- We will only retain the minimum required information
- Data will be stored securely and separately from active user data
- Information will be deleted once the retention period expires
- You will be notified if any data must be retained for legal purposes
Important Note
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have exported any important data before requesting deletion.
